I've always loved animals- they've been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. Literally, my first word was "puppy." I grew up riding horses from age 7 to 18, and that early connection with animals naturally led me to dogs when I was 16. I've now been working with dogs for 10 years, and training professionally for the past 6.
Over the years, I've worked in just about every corner of the dog world: breeders, daycares, and grooming salons. But dog training is where I found my passion. There's something special about watching a dog learn for the first time and understanding that their behaviour affects their environment. Seeing those moments when it “clicks” and you can literally see their confidence grow. Training is safety and a necessity, but training is also trust, fun, and deepens the connection between dog and owner. Training helps dogs who've lost their confidence, find it again. That's what keeps me hooked.
I'm definitely a bit of a behaviour nerd and love understanding the "why" behind what dogs do. But more than anything, I believe in training the dog in front of you. No two dogs are the same, and I pride myself on being able to quickly adapt based on what's working and what's not. There's no place for ego in dog training, dogs will humble you again and again. This work is about meeting the animal where they're at and helping them reach their highest potential in a way that makes sense to them.
When I'm not training other peoples dogs, I'm out with my own two dogs (more about them below). We love to hike, explore, compete in agility, and perform with the SuperDogs.
Maverick
Head Dog
After working with dogs for 4 years, I finally decided it was time for one of my own, my first dog ever at 20 years old. I had to beg my mom for him and even made a PowerPoint to plead my case. It worked.
I got Maverick at 5 months old, a Labrador German Shepherd mix. I was so eager to dive into all the fun stuff, but Mav had other plans. He showed me pretty quickly that he was struggling with life itself. He lacked confidence, was scared of people, and reactive to other dogs. That's when I really started learning about behaviour, not just training obedience, but helping dogs actually feel better mentally. Maverick has taught me more than a million courses every could.
Maverick is now 6 years old and still my best friend. He performs with the SuperDogs and competes at the national level in agility. He has also played flyball, disc, and dock diving. At his first national agility event in 2024, he placed 11th out of 49 dogs.
When he's not screaming with excitement, you can find Maverick with a ball in his mouth, happily watching the world go by, or serving as the "try it" dog for my agility students.

Jeepers

Jeepers is my 2-year-old field line Lab from Mississippi, and truly my do-everything girl. She's made me a better trainer by constantly challenging me, but honestly, she makes everything look easy. Loving everyone and everything she meets, Jeepers has never had a bad day in her life.
She's my main performance dog, and you can find her showing off her freestyle dance routine in the summer at SuperDogs shows. Jeepers also competes in agility and is entering her first year of serious competition this year.
As my primary demo dog, Jeepers is always helping out in lessons, whether she's helping socialize new dogs, being a distraction for excitable pups, or acting as a helper dog for reactive dogs.
